  Company Profile
Aqua Indiana, Inc., (Aqua) a subsidiary of Aqua America, Inc., is a regulated public utility created to manage and operate water and wastewater systems in the State of Indiana. Aqua Indiana currently provides utility services to nearly 38,000 customers (or just over 100,000 residents) throughout Indiana.

Aqua also provides contract operation and management of water and wastewater systems for both municipal and private sector clients at several locations in the state. The company has division offices in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, and provides customer service from Aqua America’s regional call center in Kankakee, Illinois.




  Company History

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission granted Aqua a Certificate of Territorial Authority (CTA) to render wastewater utility service, and an Indeterminate Permit to render water utility service to a portion of southern Lake County, Indiana on June 19, 2002.

Aqua grew into several other parts of Indiana on August 1, 2003, the day following Aqua America’s acquisition of the investor-owned water and wastewater systems of AquaSource Utility, Inc. Today, Aqua has operations in 10 Indiana counties, and operates five regulated utilities, while also managing 12 water and wastewater facilities for cities, towns, schools and businesses.

Aqua is a subsidiary of Aqua America, Inc., (NYSE: WTR) the nation's largest publicly-traded water utility. Aqua America is a Pennsylvania corporation with offices in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
